A stewardship campaign can and should be a transformational experience for a church. While pragmatic programs are helpful, biblical principles should guide 1) the way we engage people and 2) how we ask for the generous response of God’s people. A biblically-based stewardship campaign will lift leaders, build lives, and raise faith as much as it does anything else. It is first and foremost a spiritual formation exercise designed to bring God glory, further His work, and draw God’s people closer to Him.

The Bible is not silent on the subject of money and provides us with several examples of successful giving campaigns. From these examples we can glean several principles that will help guide us through the implementation of a successful stewardship campaign.
